As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we want to share with you our plans for keeping our clients, employees, and community secure. Here at Muggeo & Associates our top priority is the safety of our families, friends and clients as we continue to navigate this global crisis together.
We are following recommendations from the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and local authorities to help prevent the spread of the virus. As such we are closely monitoring the situation and implementing strategies to both protect our collective communities and to provide uninterrupted operations, no matter what scenarios may arise. While our offices currently remain open, and court closures cascade, should there be a need to close temporarily, our firm has infrastructure and procedures in place to allow our lawyers and staff to work remotely and to continue servicing our clients at the highest levels.

The onset of this coronavirus outbreak has clearly affected many aspects of our daily lives and society. As this crisis evolves, we are sensitive to the legal issues which you will likely face. These may include:
Business counseling regarding employment-related issues, remote work arrangements, the availability of business interruption insurance under existing policies, supply chain disruptions, fulfillment of contractual obligations and the effect of force majeure clauses and the facilitation of low-interest loans under Federal and State programs;
Coordinating government benefits for unemployment insurance, available emergency benefits and other personal financial issues.
Contractual issues pertaining to cancellation/refunds, whether it be for airline tickets/hotel or travel arrangements, the purchase of a new home or car or your daughter’s wedding;
Even though public access to the courts has been restricted, the judicial system continues to function. We are equipped to facilitate the electronic filing of necessary court documents and participate in court appearances telephonically and through video conferencing.
